Our Mission
Better Change Movement (BCM) is a woman-led organization founded in 2022 with a clear mission to advocate for the rights of Women & Girls, female Sex Workers, sexual minorities (including the LGBTQ+ community), and people with disabilities.

To advance women’s rights, promote economic empowerment, and build an equitable society where all individuals—regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability status—can live with dignity, access equal opportunities, and contribute to a society grounded in respect and human rights.

To create a Rwanda where women, sexual minorities, and marginalized communities, including people with disabilities, can live freely, with equal access to rights, opportunities, and respect. We envision a society rooted in racial, economic, social, and gender justice where everyone is empowered to realize their full potential.

Advocacy for the decriminalization of sex work, protection from violence and exploitation, access to health services (including sexual and reproductive health), economic opportunities, and legal rights.

Legal protection, healthcare, safe working conditions, social and economic empowerment, and addressing stigma and discrimination in society.
Sexual Minorities (LGBTQ+ Community)
Focus
Protection and promotion of the rights of sexual minorities, including lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and queer individuals. Advocacy for equal rights, social acceptance, and protection from discrimination and violence.
Needs
Legal recognition, anti-discrimination measures, access to inclusive healthcare and mental health services, social inclusion, and protection from hate crimes and social stigma.
Transgender Individuals & Trans Women
Focus
Advocacy for transgender rights, including access to legal recognition, healthcare, social protection, and gender-based support systems.

Women with Disabilities
